Historicizing Branded Content on U.S. TV

I’ve found my students enjoy discussing rampant product placement and branded content in contemporary television culture.  In my Reality Television class, I recently showed these clips together in order to historicize the phenomenon and to spark more sophisticated and nuanced critical thinking on how branded content informs and impacts today’s television culture.
